Pre-hanging Doors

Pre-hang Options for all Wooden Entry Doors:

Our product line features many pre-hung entry options, which are assembled door entryway units that
are ready for installation.

All doors may be ordered individually as individual slabs in addition to ordering them as pre-hung units.

Pre-hung units include brick mold, T-astragal, sill cover, door sweep, weather-stripping, and adjustable
threshold, plus three hinges on 6´8˝ high doors and four hinges on 8´0˝ high doors.

Hinge Color Options—When ordering a pre-hung door, you may choose from any of the following eight
hinge color options. Satin Chrome, Satin Nickel, Flat Black, Antique Brass, “Oil- Rubbed” Bronze,
Bright Chrome, Pewter, and , Bright Brass (standard)

All pre-hung units include “continuous sill” thresholds for strength, beauty, and resistance to rot and
wear.

Choose from the following three sill colors: Bright Brass Aluminum Sill, Mill Aluminum Sill, Bronze
Aluminum Sill (standard)

Jamb Size Options—All doors in this catalog may be ordered “pre-hung” as an assembled unit.

Standard door frames are 4 5/8˝ wide or 6 5/8˝ wide, depending upon the thickness of the wall into
which the door and frame is to be installed. Any other wall thickness requires sizing modifications.

Lock Preparation Options— The door lockset hardware is not provided by Designer Doors in a “pre-
hung entry” unless added as an option, but the mounting holes will be drilled for your lock if requested
and with provision of a template.

We can prepare your pre-hung door or entryway for a variety of exterior lock and latch sets, including
mortise locks. Included in this selection of options is prepping the door for components by Emtek and
Rocky Mountain Hardware.

When purchased through us, locks will be mounted by us only when you have us install your door unit.

Pre-hang Configuration Options— Our doors are available in several pre-hung unit configurations,
which include single doors, double doors, a door and one or two sidelites or 8’ doors to replace a unit
with an existing transom.

Pre-Finish Options—All doors and pre-hung entryways are ordered unfinished. Designer Door pre-
finishing options are available.

Designer Door installation of all door units over 96" inches is recommended.

Our installers are prepared to handle the critical situations that arise with the installation of massive
door units. The fine tuning in the installation of these heavy units is an extremely precise art.
